My iPad is locked on iTunes whilst installing 9.0.2.

My iPad is locked on iTunes whilst installing 9,0,2. Connecting to my laptop with latest iTunes software only provides a 'unknown error 4013' notification and the iPad remains stock showing the iTunes logo and a connecting cable graphic. Hard restart has no effect either connected to the laptop or separate. Whats the solution please, as I'm really frustrated by this,
