RMA - how much time does it take

Apple initiated a RMA on my MBP due to the USB issues. I got a return label from Fedex and I dropped the laptop off to Fedex location today. To my dismay the return shipment type was Fedex Ground, plus my replacement laptop is not going to ship until Apple receives the old one.

Fedex says it is 4 business days for Ground, my replacement shipment is 2 day - so if I am going to be optimistic it's going to be a wait till 16th for the replacement.

Man, this ***** big time. Or am I missing something here? How many days has it taken for those who had to RMA?

MBP 2.16Ghz 3Gb RAM 160Gb HDD, Mac OS X (10.4.8), Dell E1705

your original box should have been 2 day also... I don't understand why it was not.

Most repairs occur (at least in my experience) occur the same day they arrive.

I have been lucky enough to have all repairs returned the same day they received it.

Other users have reported weeks waiting on backordered parts.

My suggestion, just be patient and continue to check up on them by checking your status online, and if the status hasn't changed in a day, to call them directly.
