how to change browser clip timecode from source timecode to clip code

All of my clips in the event browser when skimmed show the source timecode. How do I change it back to clip code. I'm using OS X 10.10.5 and FCPX 10.2.2

Thanks

Does anyone know of any workarounds for this?

For my example I have various video and audio clips already in a storyline in FCP X. I have shared particular video and audio source files with a sound editor and want to be able to direct them to specific sections of those files using the elapsed time, not the timecode. (For some reason their Logic 9 does not display the same timecode, and transferring xml from FCP X to logic 9 has a whole host of problems we couldn't surmount)

Is their a way to reset the timecode of clips in the FCP X browser, or another workaround to see the elapsed time/'clip code' as otjacob mentions of clips within FCP X...

Otjacob - what was your solution?
