IPhone 6s 128gb space gray lag after unlock

I have replaced my iPhone once already and am experiencing the same issue. My iPhone will lag for 2-3 seconds after I unlock it with Touch ID. It lags when I use the slide option as well. I have tried everything from setting up new, restoring from a backup, restoring through iTunes, and restoring through iCloud. Nothing seems to be doing the trick. The phone is amazingly fast once it is open, but that 2-3 second lag is very annoying. I never had this issue on my 6 so I am a little disappointed. I've talked to apple and verizon and both are saying they haven't heard of the issue yet. I know this issue has been brought up before on the threads, but has anyone found any new way to remedy the issue? I really don't want to swap phones again, but if this lag doesn't disappear I will be calling Apple Monday for a replacement.

Its not an issue with your phones hardware. Its iOS 9. You just have to wait until it gets fix in an update. Your replacement will be the same. I have both the 6S and 6S plus and have the same issue.

THe same issue here with same model. When the phone is in standby for 5 or more minutes when i unlock it keeps frozen for few seconds.

I Hope our apple friends bring us a fast solution

This is happening to me also, very laggy and my mate who is using iphone 6 plus also getting it. Hope it is becuz of the ios not the headset cuz this is my first iphone and already very unhappy...

Same issue here Iphone 6S 128gb space gray.

After the phone is in stand-by for some minutes when i unlock it keeps frozen for few seconds, screen lags, satus bar disappears, etc...

Hope apple people solve this annoying problem ASAP.

After an afternoon off pain i think i've got over it... The problem was the restore via iTunes!! Tray a clean install and a new restore. Maybe a copule of times. good luck!!

II had this problem and it went away. Restored iOS 9.1 through iTunes to fix another problem and now it's back. Takes a good 3 seconds to unlock if the phone has been sitting for a few minutes. iPhone 6s Plus 128 GB space gray.

I am on my 4th iPhone and all have done the same exact thing. Annoying lag for 3-5 seconds and an unresponsive screen after every unlock. I give up. It's really frustrating that not everyone has had this issue, but I will just hope this truly is a software issue that will be resolved soon. Apple really let me down this iPhone release. I've never experienced anything like this with a brand new iPhone.

Same problem here. All three i tried has this lag. all was 128g. 64g one does not have this problem. I hope 9.2 fixes this issue. It's ridiculous.

Anyone having any luck? I still have the same annoying lag issue after 9.2. I have pretty much given up at this point. It's clearly not an issue they are going to fix after almost 3 months of it. Even with hundreds of people posting about the issue, Apple still chooses not to acknowledge it.

I hope it's fixed soon. It clearly still exists and is a wide spread issue. Every Apple person I talk to says I am the first person they have heard of having the problem. I really don't know what it is going to take for them to take the issue seriously? Maybe if they just browse their forums for 5 minutes?

Hi, i have this problem on my 6S after updating to 9.2! Phone performances are perfect but multitasking effects became very slow and stutter than before.. I tried two resets and the problem still here... Should i call to Apple ?
