Does the WHITE MacBook get dirty?

Hi,

Just wondering if all you WHITE MacBook users find that your keyboards and palmrests get dirty from daily use.

My friend has the 14" iBook and he finds that his system gets a bit dirty with very normal use.

I know iKlear is a good product from other posts, but I just don't want to be forced to wash my hands before I touch my MacBook.

Any comments?

Not only the white that got dirty, the black is also get the dirty look as well.

But white color is of course be more obvious to see the dirtyness.

You don't have to wash your hand everytime you use your white MB, just make sure your hand is free from sweat and oil / grease from food and don't eat and use your macbook at the same time.

And wipe the macbook with dry soft cloth after every use is a good prevention to make the dirty look stay away.

Good Luck.

I have heard that the black MacBook gets pretty greasy looking as well.

The MB Pro has the best colour of silver, but of course the white MB is very distinctive of Apple. I am told the greyish palm area is better for hiding the dirt. It seemed to be whiter in the earlier models until it started causing the staining problems.

What is the best cleaner out there that can be used all over the MacBook and on the screen? Does a "all in one" product exist? I have heard people praise iKlear.

Dampen a microfibre cloth, usually known as an automotive detailer's rag, with just water. That'll take care of the screen. Also great on your eyeglasses, as well!

Be preventive on the wrist rest areas. Get a shield, such as Marware which is custom fit for that part of the computer:
