I have done latest update on iPad, now games don't work properly

I play 8ball pool on my iPad, since doing the latest update (9) i can still play but the pool table is all black, can't see the pockets. My son had the same problem, very frustrating as its unplayable now!! any ideas anyone?? wish I hadn't done the update now!
