Boot chime disappeared after El Capitan update

AAfter upgrading to Mac OS X 10.11 on new MacBook Pro 2015 13", I noticed that when I restart or startup my Mac the Boot Chime doesn't play. I reset the PRAM, it worked, but after another restart the boot chime didn't play again 😟

i checked random Macs at the Apple Store and they all played the boot chime sound.

any one else experiencing this?

I had same problem, Noticed the volume on my mac was turned off, increased the value and restarted my mac..... Chimed like a charm.

Check your volume and restart 🙂
