Phishing website got connected to my mac. How can I block them?

I received a pop up message last night that my IP is used in 2 locations. It said to call the customer service and they connected to my Mac book via an application that they told me to download. My firewall was turned off. I've noticed that there was a phishing website but I've downloaded their application. I talked to my internet provider and they refreshed my router. How can I block them? Can they still see my monitor? Can they access my bank info? Should I reset my Macbook?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

If you downloaded an application from this site, your MBP is compromised.

You should erase the HDD and reinstall the OSa and your data from a backup that predates this event.

Change all of your passwords and contact your bank if you bank online.

Ciao.
