iPhone 6s where you type a message it greys out with microphone on both our new phones. To fix we have to reboot the phone.
This is happening once o twice a day. You can voice message but can't see what it is typing until it is sent

There are numerous reports of that problem since iOS 9. One solution (at least a temporary one) that is a bit faster than rebooting the phone is to quit Messages and then double-click the Home button to open the app switcher. In the app switcher find the Messages app and slide it up to remove it. Then close app switcher by clicking the Home button. That should solve the problem -- for a while at least.
