SSD stuck at apple logo screen

I have a mid 2009 MacBook Pro 17inch, I bought an ssd drive recently which I install el capitan using and external enclosure. which works fine as an external hard disk until I replace it into my internal hd.

All it does now is stuck at the apple logo screen which doesnt go into log in screen. i have run disk utilities on the ssd and it is all ok.

once I switch back to the original hd, it works fine.

Please help!

Could it be the sata cable? Or the trim issue?

I have seen a number of situations like yours, on these forums, where the problem has been solved by replacing the internal SATA cable. A colleague installed a new cable in his 2009 MBP and it solved the problem with his SSD.
