iMovie crashes on export

iMovie crashes on export

Using iMovie on an iPhone 6S, 64 gb with more than half of storage available.

Have a movie just under four minutes long. When I try to export it to photos (or dropbox, or iCloud, or iMovie Theater) the export status line pops up and app closes.

I've tried restarting

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app (and redoing the project). iOS is up to date.

Occasionally I get "error occurred during export" but most of the time the app just crashes.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.0.2

It's possible there is some incompatibility or a corrupt file in the project. Was all the footage captured with the camera on your iPhone or was it imported from somewhere else? Was it edited in any other app before adding to your project? (same goes for audio).
