Just clean installed El Capitan in my new desktop and do not know how to re-install my purchased FCPX which doesn't appear in my purchased apps in the App Store. What can I do?

You have to sign into the App Store with the Apple ID that was used to purchase the software.
You wiped your drive before installing El Cap?
Think that's what me means by clean install. Probably still recommended when moving to a new operating system as it's often the only way to rid yourself of a lot of dross that gathers from old apps. It's a pain though rebuilding things like Mail, a major headache. Unfortunately you can't selectively migrate portions of a users.
TThank you everyone for ur help. Alas I can't seem to find any sign of my purchase in my App Store account. Yes I confused the matter by sounding as though I had clean installed el capitan which would have been quite a feat! I did clean install to remove a lot of dross and it has been a pain re installing certain apps. Particularly FCPX. if anyone knows another way of downloading FCPX without the purchase record. I'd be grateful to know how. Thanks.
All is well and thank you for your advice TW. I eventually found the purchase and am installing FCPX as I write this. How invaluable these forums are!
