Q: mouse disconnects after screen saver

I have recently upgraded my iMac Mid 2010 to El Capitan.

After my computer's screen saver starts when I try to use my computer, it takes approximately 10-15 seconds for the mouse to connect, even though I reactivated my computer by moving the mouse.

Any ideas?

Hi there James,

It sounds like the Bluetooth mouse that's connected to your iMac isn't always recognized right away when waking your Mac from sleep. If you haven't already, take a look at the article below and try running through the general troubleshooting tips that it provides.
