I have an iPhone 5. A contact now has a Galaxy. I am no longer able to text him. It is still going as an imessage

it seems that my phone has a memory to his phone being an iPhone and I am not able to message him anymore. I have deleted him then add him again but my phone is still trying to iMessage him! Any suggestions????

so tell him to disassociate his number with iMessage. This has nothing to do with your phone.

You can choose to send his messages as a SMS. That's what I did when my friend switched.
