Downloaded iOS 9 and 9.1 etc and have noticed that I'm now receiving a news feed I hadn't signed up for. Have searched Settings and tried fiddling about but nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Go to settings just scroll down to sky news icon click on it then turn off notifications
You can do that with any download app .

I Haven't downloaded any Apps or subscribed to any News feed as far as I know- it just appeared. I get articles from the Telegraph too!
Go to Settings > News > turn Notifications to OFF and also turn Cellular Data and Show Story Previous to OFF. See it that helps...
Apple will not let you edit these suggestions. I have been searching for a long time to get Sky News off the left swipe news feed. No idea what it is called. It is a bit like putting a free album on that no one wants. Oh Hang on that was apple too.
Thanks, unfortunately that's exactly where I'm coming from. Used Apple products for years, will upgrade to something else next time if I can't do something about it.
Try Settings > General > Spotlight Search
To blank the page altogether toggle off Siri Suggestions
To remove the news items only, try toggling off Spotlight Suggestions only (it's buried in the long list). This will also turn off suggestions of nearby POI type info I think. Not sure to be honest about this last bit but taking this off only cleared the annoying Sky News stuff for me.
Play around with other items on list as you want.

Thank you, it worked to remove all news....but it would be great if there was a way to just remove specific feeds, Sky in particular.
How do I stop receiving News notifications from Sky news etc after downloading iOS 9? It's really irritating me!
