Bluetooth Explorer for El Capitan?

Hello,

I'm testing a Bluetooth dongle on my Macbook mid 2011 with the "Bluetooth Explorer".

Selecting the dongle and press the "ACTIVATE" the mac crashes and restarts.

I see off the Bluetooth Explorer downloads --> https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?name=bluetooth%20explorer

¿Someone knows what's going on?

Thank you!

Cheers,

iPad 2, iOS 6, null

I think Apple Bundled this into the Hardware IO package. The description for this package read's as follows:

This package includes additional hardware i/o tools formerly bundled in the Xcode installer. These tools include: Apple Bluetooth Guidelines Validation, Bluetooth Explorer, HomeKit Accessory Simulator, IO Registry Explorer, Network Link Conditioner.prefpane, PacketLogger and Printer Simulator. These graphics tools support running on OS X 10.11.

Download should be available here: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/?name=Hardware%20IO

Thank you so much for this link!

I have a early 2009 iMac 24-inch, and therefore it is abandoned by Apple to forever remain on OSX 10.11 El Capitan only...

And guess what the latest Bluetooth Explorer (hidden as "Additional Tools for Xcode 8.0") requires? Yep, it needs 10.12 Sierra.... which I cannot download for my iMac.

Thankfully now I can use a 3rd party Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 USB adaptor!
