Sep 11, 2016 4:51 AM in response to Willo26by dimascer,With 3rd party camera apps there is no problem on iphone 6s at all.
On iphone 7 it seems that it has a lag on 3rd party camera apps. If there is a lag on the native camera app, we can't say yet. We will carefully test.
That would be a very unfortunate surprise, in case new models have this camera lag, as Apple mentioned that 7 and 7 plus models have completely new camera sensors.

Sep 14, 2016 12:41 PM in response to iSomiexby calabiyau007,Hi all
iOS 10.0.1 here and lag present. I would say that even bigger. With barely 3 calls I get a noticeable one...
Anyway, this kind of bug is not easy to fix so hopefully this is the reason that is not already patched. Any news from your senior consultant Willo26?
How did you open a case? Maybe if we get to open another one they will pay more attention...
Regards!

Sep 14, 2016 12:45 PM in response to iSomiexby dimascer,That can be a solution with 6s. Last time I checked with Apple Store regarding this issue, a kind employee told me (after 5 replacements) that I should write an official email with proofs to apple support/apple care and say that I demand a refund before sending the issue to court. The rationale behind this is that while your iphone is on warranty, the company can not fix it and does not offer any solution.
So this should work out with a refund, according to my understanding.

Sep 14, 2016 1:23 PM in response to dimascerby calabiyau007,I have just written here http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Explaining this well known phone call vs camera lag issue. Including the way to reproduce it.
I'd suggest that everybody in this post write a similar feedback so that they can take it more seriously.
I don't expect any answer anyway.
Regards!

Sep 16, 2016 1:44 AM in response to nazemgby dodzy,Hi All,
Iphone 6S plus user here. On iOS 10. Just tried as instructed.
I closed all apps. Typically, Camera is very fast to load once it has not been running in the background. Then pressed home button to put camera app in the background. Rang my voicemail 10 times and each call was left active for 10+ secs. Tried to re-open camera app and sure enough, an 11second delay (blurred screen of the last image that the sensor detected) before camera activated
I then closed the camera app (double tap home button and slide up the camera app to kill process) and then made the same 10 calls for similar duration. I then tapped the camera app and it opens immediately. I am going to retest with camera app in background and make 5 calls to see if there is a direct relationship between camera startup time vs calls made. Will post back with results.

Sep 16, 2016 1:52 AM in response to dodzyby dodzy,OK, just done same. Killed all apps. Started camera app. Again, immediate startup. Hit home button to put app into background. Made 5 calls to my voicemail (10+ sec durations) and then reopened camera app. Approx 4 sec delay. There's gotta be a link!
