Keynote 6.5.3. Audio not playing on click.

I've made the mistake of updating 2 days before my presentation only to find it's created a ton of problems.

I have audio inserted into each slide. When the presentation is playing and I'm going through it, keynote plays the audio on the second click. Now, some play some don't.

I've checked the audio in each slide. They all work when I press play on them manually. But in the presentation, some play, some dont. Can't find a good reason for it. Worked find before the update. I've tried everything on can.

I'm running on OS X 10.11, Keynote 6.5.3. Apple Team please help ASAP or I will look a fool durning this presentation.

In the build order list, (Inspector > Animate > Build In > Build order) drag the sound file to the correct position, if it is to play first drag to the top of the list.

In the build order, select the sound file and change the Start dropdown menu to the correct option; either : on click or automatically.

The problem is it plays sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. Do you mean your trick will make it play everytime?

Hi Gary, Thanks for your willingness to help. I have attached an image that demonstrate that all Audio is selected as Order 1 as the slide show is super simple. Not a lot of tricks, magic move, etc here. Still when I play the slide show through, the Audio will not play on the 2nd click regardless. Any other suggestions?

The only way I can make it play every time is if I exit out of the slideshow play mode, and click on the sound play arrow. otherwise it's just a long shot as if it will play or not.

I have experienced the identical problem. The audio plays if I exit the slideshow and click on the Play arrow in the slide, but it does not play at all if I am in the slideshow.

I was seeing this to, but now that I have updated to Keynote 6.6 the audio plays back without any issues. Hope that helps.
