Macbook Pro 2014 Black Screen

I have a one week old 2014 Macbook pro with retina display that is booting to a black screen. This all started after i tried installing Windows 8.1 using boot camp assistant. The installation got to the point where windows is suppose to restart and it rebooted to a black screen. It stayed like this for over 10 mins before i manually shut down the computer. When i turned it on again the screen lights up and i heard the mac os chime but nothing is displayed

I've tried reseting the pram, smc and holding down the command R when starting up. I'm out of ideas now.

Can anyone help me?
