6th Gen iPod touch battery draining quickly

I bought a brand new iPod Touch 6th Gen 4 days ago and for some reason it's draining a lot faster than my last iPod which I used more (it was a 5th gen). I've disabled quite a lot of stuff and been through various sites such as app refresh and app suggestions. But despite doing a full charge before going to bed, I wake up and it's on about 55% power. It's not an app running in the background because I close out them all, I always turn the wifi off when I'm not using it and Bluetooth is never on. Is there any suggestions on how to stop it draining so quickly or if I need to get the battery looked at because I have owned many 2 iPod touches before which were used more and where just over 2 years old and they lasted 3-4 days without needing to be charged.
