iPhone lightning cable works when plugged into AC adapter, not when plugged into USB port
Hi,
I have an iPhone 5S running 9.0.2. I have 3 6-ft. lightning cables. Each of these cables charges the phone just fine when the cables are plugged into Apple AC adapters. But when I plug the cables into the USB port of my laptop (Dell laptop, Windows 7), the cables very rarely turn the iPhone battery indicator "green," meaning the iPhone is not registering the presence of the cable at all when the cable is plugged into a USB port. I'm not even getting the "This accessory may not be supported" message. I have tried multiple USB ports and 3 different lightning cables.
This is a recent problem that has developed over the last week or so. The USB ports are working fine for my mouse, iPod, and external hard drive, so I don't think it's a USB port problem.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
