Bootcamp assistant failure

Trying to install Windows 7 64bit on my MacAir 2013 running Yosemite. It's been a piece of cake on my prior machines.....

Bootcamp persistently stalls at "Installing Windows Support" software. This has happened when doing the full install (Create boot disk/install), and when I try to install the software independently of the install in case that would have worked (didn't).

It seems that I have a bootable USB drive in that creating the boot drive has successfully loaded the install drive I have mounted.

One time I did get as far as creating the bootcamp partition, but the OS failed on install. I deleted the partition, started over, and have never even gotten that far.

Any suggestions?

The first two options (Create USB Installer and Download Software) need to be executed only once. Once the USB installer is built, it can be used multiple times with the last option 'Install Windows...' . The 'Remove Windows...' does not require a USB Installer.

Well, that helped. But.......

I got to the Install Windows Screen. After I accept the terms I get to choose disc. My Bootcamp partition is there, but I get "Windows cannot be installed on this disc" error. This error appears for all 4 discs in the list.

Does it tell you about a GPT vs MBR mismatch?

No. All that I get in the lower part of the list of partitions is the message that "windows cannot be installed on this disc"......

Please disconnect all external storage. Your USB installer must be on a flash drive directly connected to the Mac. Do not use an external USB HDD for Windows Installer. Please remove any USB hubs you may have connected to the Mac.
