Dec 23, 2015 3:18 PM in response to Torquilby Judy,The problem is on my iPad Air since upgrading to iOS 9.
IT happens when I view mail.
IT also happens when I am already viewing a mail, click on a link.
When I return from the link it doesn't go to the mail I was reading previously, it goes to some random earlier mail way down the list.
SO annoying.

Dec 23, 2015 8:07 PM in response to Judyby Torquil,For me, it's only an issue when opening the Mail app on the iPad Pro. It always opens to the same old message. Once I've scrolled up and viewed newer email messages it's fine, until I close out of Mail. When I reopen Mail the same old message will be highlighted and I'll have to scroll again to get new messages. It IS annoying.

Jan 14, 2016 9:21 AM in response to Torquilby ArchonOSX,Try deleting the message it goes to and see if that changes things.
I know this is not a fix but others have suggested deleting the entire mail account and reinstalling it from the Settings panel. That seems more severe and I don't know if anyone has gotten that to work.
I deleted a message and it now goes to the next message to the top. I am worried it might get stuck on that one now.

Jul 20, 2016 5:32 PM in response to Judyby Jdickson1164,on my iPad Pro, if you delete the most recent email, it will load the next one, then will open on that email the next time. Still quite annoying, but at least you don't have to scroll through hundreds of emails every time you open the app. Also, it does not behave this way with my work outlook account, only my POP accpunt through my ISP.

Jul 27, 2016 5:07 AM in response to Jdickson1164by Judy,I Tried that, deleting the most recent email. It seemed to work but then it started happening again.
FOr now, I just go to the first message in the list and work my way backwards. Still annoying.
