Apple tv crashes saying cannot purchase when I try to play music I have already bought on itunes or try to rent a film. Box seems to reset with no information other than 'unavailable to purchase'

These types ype of problems can occur when you have a problematic network or HDMI connection, are you able to test the AppleTV with another TV and in another location.

Just tried unplugging hdmi and restarting apple tv box. Still not working! Network seems to be working fine.
That wasn't exactly what had been suggested.
