I have a mid 2014 macbook pro retina and it downloaded the OS X el capital update but now it won't do anything, it says download when i look at it through the store but on my downloads it just says downloaded and doesn't do anything. How can i delete the update or just make the dam thing update my dam computer... sorry this is frustrating and It is messing with all my syncing activity

If you did not start the installation from the installer go to your Applications folder and start it from there. It is not automatic and you missed the first button.
