VMWare Fusion or Bootcamp (or both) for Windows 10

I have a 2010 Macbook Air (MacBookAir3,2 : 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 256 SSD). Have VMWare Fusion 6 and been running Windows 7 for a few years. I want to upgrade Windows to 10. I do not have a bootcamp partition at present.

Do I create a bootcamp partitionor just use VMware fusion? What is fastest with my configuration ?
