Live Wallpaper does not fully utilise 3D Touch

The playback of live photo's on the iPhone 6s is glitchy; when pressing hard on the live photo it first skips back to the start of the video portion and then plays to the end at full speed, changes in pressure do not vary the playback speed This is just the same when the live photo is set as a live wallpaper.

This is different to the control presented by the example live wallpapers included with IOS 9 (I'm using 9.0.2). On the fish and cloudy samples of live wallpapers, changes in touch pressure adjust the playback speed and playback is seamless from the still image. Reducing pressure to very light even reverses playback, a much more impressive effect.

Can anyone advise if everyone is experiencing this and are the any plans to address this? Just seems like something is lacking here.

Thanks

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.0.2
