I spent a lot of time adding locations to "Favorites" in the OSX Maps app so I could remember these locations later, and today I opened the Maps app, expecting to see stars or something on these locations, but there was nothing. I went through every single menu in Maps, and there was no "Show Favorites" option. I really hope I didn't lose all my work. Please help!

I agree. Seeing "Favorites" while viewing the map would make it much more useful. You can do this on the iOS app. I wonder why it's not available on the mac.
It's really kind of stupid, but you have to click in the Search field, then wait a moment. At the top of the list that drops down is a button for Favorites.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.
