Uploading photos to iCloud

I updated my Mac to El Capitan and everything is fine. Except in Photos - 3 photos have been uploading to iCloud since Wednesday and it is now Sunday. I have uploaded other photos since, over 1000 in all, but the 3 are still going and I don't even know what they are. What can I do to stop the upload or do I just have to wait?
