my ipone 4s does not charge when it is on and i only want to know what part is effecting this i am not willing to send it off and would rarther do it myself. can anyone tell me what part is doing this?

If you are attempting to charge using the USB on a computer, not all
computer USB ports provide enough power to charge the iPhone.
