iphone 5c iOS 9.0.2 update issues

plugged iphone 5c into power, started the download, after a couple of minutes, it said download failed, then the screen went black with the apple logo for about a minute, then my usual home screen came up. thought I would wait till later to try again. when i looked at the phone later, it seems turned off, and won't turn on.
