Airport Extreme - no power
my airport Exteme ( A1408) just went dead..no power at all...I see from the forum that this was an issue years ago....does anyone know if the new Extremes stll have this problem

Are you saying that the AirPort Extreme itself went dead.....or.....that the outboard power supply for the AirPort Extreme went dead?
Usually, it is the outboard power supply that fails after 3-4 years, and a replacement will usually give you at least another few years on the AirPort Extreme.
It might be a $20 gamble to find out if a replacement power supply might solve the issue. If you can find a selller that will agree to let you return the power supply if it does not do you want, you have virtually no risk.
