Q: How to reinstall all Windows 7 drivers?

Hello,

today I accidentally deleted all the drivers from my Windows 7 Professional x64bit. I installed it few months ago with BootCamp and all went good. Unfortunately, now I deleted all the drivers and I don't know how to reinstall them because neither my mouse or my keyboard work.
So, I already tried to use BootCamp Assistant to put all the drivers on a USB pen again, but once I opened Windows 7, nothing happened.
I hope I've been clear, otherwise please let me notice it. I'm not mother tongue and I'm sorry for any possible mistake I made.
Thank you very much, waiting impatiently for a reply,

Matteo.

My computer is an iMac 27 inches late 2009 with an Intel processor.

So, if I'm understanding what you mean, you're suggesting to use a Win 7 installation DVD. Is it the same thing if I use a USB pen in which I put the installation files? I just moved in another city and I left my DVD in my old house.

The Win7 installer DVD needs to be SP1 and you can boot from it and Repair the existing installation. Put the BC drivers on a USB and boot from the DVD. Once booted, repair drivers using the drivers on the USB drive. Your Mac should already have a built-in DVD drive. You should not need an external DVD drive.

    Hello
I'm really sorry for the delay of my reply but I just applied my first job and it has been quite hard to find a moment to try what you suggested me.
Anyway, unluckily it didn't work. I don't know why but I can't boot from a DVD. I pushed "C" key while booting Mac, but nothing happened, it simply booted OS.
    Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for your patience.

Does your built-in Optical drive work? You will not be able to use an external Optical drive.

    Hello again.

I'm really sorry if I'm answering to you after 20 days or so, but my new work is sucjing away from me every free moment I had .-.

Anyway...yes, I guess my built-in is working, but how can I be sure?

It reads CDs and DVDs, but I don't know if this means that it works.

sorry again and thank you again for your patience

This doesn't install....I mentioned this on another post.....here's what you get when trying to run 5.1.5640 on Windows7 Professional....

    5.1.5640.jpg

Can these files be run individually from the USB (not using the setup.exe)?

No. It should not delete any of your Windows data. Install a specific driver and test it, before you install additional drivers. Please ensure you create a Windows System Restore point, in case you need to rollback a driver installation.
