Unable to clear email notifications. System bug !!
Unable to clear email notifications, if email is read and deleted before notifcation is cleared.
phone requires you to power off to clear notifications.

You need to post this in "Using iPhone", not in iOS Apps section. I have this problem too. I already submitted a Bug Report for it. This started with 9.0.
