Split screen

Split screen not working for Ipad 2. Is there anything I can do?

Footnote 2 in the article states:

"Split View is available on iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 4." Your machine is not included.

Split screen is not available for the iPad 2.

Picture in Picture and Slide Over are available on iPad Pro, iPad Air or later, and iPad mini 2 or later. Split View is available on iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 4.

None of the new major multitasking features of iOS 9 will work with older iPads (iPad 2, 3, 4 and 1st gen iPad Mini).

It is very disappointing as it leaves very few and ho hum features for older iDevice users.
