Poor quality in BSG episode

Hi,

I have purchased season 3 of Battlestar Galactica and I just watched the latest episode named Torn. The quality was very poor, the frames seemed to skip. I was watching this on my iPod and in iTunes and it was the same in both. Other episodes don't have this problem. Is there something I can do for this? If not, I'd really like a credit or something as it was really annoying to watch.

Cheers,
Craig

I didn't notice significant jumpiness or skipping, but I played through my iPod and not my computer. However, the encoding is obviously messed up. At the very beginning where it's a black screen, you can clearly see weird vertical striping. Any other scenes where black is the prevalent color you see the same behavior. There was obviously an encoding problem on this episode.

craigching,

Encoding is typically done by the content provider, not the iTunes Store. However, that being said the iTunes Store does work to get encoding errors corrected once they are aware of them.

Apple Discussions are primarily for user to user assistance. Even those of us who work for Apple that regularly post in here don't do it as part of our normal job duties.

You can report a problem with a specific track by going to your order history in iTunes, and clicking on the "Report a Problem" link next to that episode in your order history. If you notice a particular point where the problem starts occurring, that is helpful information to include in your submission.

Hope this helps,

Nathan C.
