search in page function

I seem to have lost the function of being able to type in a word on the address line of Safari and have a list at the bottom of the window showing all instances of that word on the current page.

Is this a Safari 9 issue, or did I some how disable it?

Hi PhotogJake. To search for a text string on a Safari web page, press the Command-F keys to open a search toolbar. Type the search string in the search box to highlight in white all occurrences on the web page, with the first occurrence highlighted in yellow. The web page will automatically scroll to the first occurrence if it appears outside the current viewable area. The search bar will indicate how many occurrences of the text string appear on the web page. Click the left and right arrows on the search bar to navigate to the next or previous occurrence. Click the magnifying icon in the search box to select between the criteria "Contains" and "Starts With" for the search string.
