Mac not responding!

I cannot Enter my password at the login page or use the wireless mouse. I tried resetting the keyboard and the mouse. I went and bought a wired keyboard and a mouse with a USB link. I shut down and restarted the computer. I tried shutting it down, unplugging the power and restarting it. Did both of those things multiple times. Nothing! I think there is a CD in it because I tried inserting a CD to "wake it up" and I couldn't get a CD to go into it. I'm basically locked out of the machine since I can't type anything or use the mouse. Any ideas? Thanks!
