Siri cannot hear me but does work with headphones

When I try to use Siri it doesn't work and she says she cannot hear me or "didn't quite get that". The dictation for typing also is not working. Videos do have sound however and Siri and speech dictation will work with my beats headphones cord. The phone is a 6s plus.
