I am cleaning clutter off my desktop, moved a scanned photo from the desktop into Photos - copy still live on the desktop. Is it OK to throw that copy away? MacBook Pro OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Photos version 1.0.1

After a restart you may have to reload the Desktop Photo from its new location.

If in doubt save that copy to Pictures Folder
