how do I change my icloud id email on my macbook pro to match the one on my iphone?

All of a sudden my imessage on my Macbook Pro is not working. I read that it happens when the icoud id doesn't match the one on the iphone. So how do I fix this?

MacBook Pro (17-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

It appears that you have (at least) two different Apple IDs. That always leads to problems. Decide which one you want to use as your primary one, then log in (iCloud, Messages, FaceTime, etc) using the SAME Apple ID on all your devices.
