Does iPhone 6S and MacBook Pro Retina uses Lithium Polymer batteries?

Does iPhone 6S and MacBook Pro Retina uses Lithium Polymer batteries? If yes, can I assume the way we care for our MacBook Pro batteries like not draining them to 20%, etc would apply to the iPhone 6S as well? Is it better to always charge the iPhone 6S whenever we have the opportunity even if the battery is at 70%-80%?

iPhone 6s Plus, iOS 9.0.2
