I Have upgraded to 9.0.2 and noticed that the spotlight search is not searching in contacts
is there any configuration required or it' a bug in the new update

you have to turn off the "Short Name" and "Prefer Nicknames" on Settings -> Mail, contacts, calendars -> scroll down to contacts Short Name -> Turn off short name and prefer nicknames. now it should work

Hi All!
I just went to the Phone Icon to open up all my contacts,
At the top right it says Groups in Blue it says Groups click it
That opens a window which lists the groups available to your phone
Make sure all are selected [Check-marked]
Then click done!
and your are.... done!
No need to reset anything... at least not for me.
After I did this all my contacts were found by search.
My phone had Two Groups Google Mail and All Cloud groups but Google mail was not checked,
But later I went back and un-checked Google Mail it kept working properly!
