Yahoo in Mac Mail not logging in since upgrade to El Capitan

Things were fine with Yahoo in my Mac mail in Yosemite.

I have now upgraded to El Capitan and all mailboxes are blank and I'm getting a login error.

I have completely reset Mac Mail and have tried to add the account from scratch and I just keep getting the login error. I am copying and pasting my email and password credentials which I know are correct as I use them to log into webmail.

Anyone else having glitches with Yahoo and Mac Mail in El Capitan?

Same here. I thought it was something I did (well, I suppose it was, I installed El Capitan!). I have since tried to update the password but I am unable to find where to do it in either Mail or Internet Accounts in System Preferences. Why can't I change passwords?

I'm also got a message in Mail saying it is downloading messages 3 of 3, but after a couple of days it's risen to 24 of 24.

Emails are coming through fine on my iPhone and iPad.

Hello intastella,

After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are not able to login to Yahoo Mail from the Mail app. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.
