Q: iphone 6s notes not syncing with iMAC

I have the new iphone6s iOS 9.0.2

Imac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

notes not syncing

I am using iCloud on both with the same gmail.com address and it worked fine on my iphone5

iCal seems to be be updating instantly with no issues the only thing that seems to not be syncing is notes
