Q: Reducing H.254 MP4 film file size to 100MB - possible?

I have a 1270 x 720 H.264 film created in FCPX - its 12 mins long and client wants me to reduce the file size to no more that 100MB!

How can i do this - the date rate at the moment is 677MB - is it possible to reduce this to 100MB although trying to keep quality?

can i do this in compressor or any other program?

Yes. You'll; have to lower the bit rate to about 1 Mbps. (100Mb*8)/(12*60). You can do this in Compressor by creating a custom setting – or in MPEG Streamclip. The quality won't be great – even in H.264.  You may get better results by downloading the x.264 encoder).

Let us know how you do.
