How can I change my Apple Watch from Farenheit to Celsius ?

Open weather app on your iPhone. Look at the the bottom-left corner. Here you should see the symbol of the two metrics. Tap the one you wish to use. It should update the Apple Watch weather app too.

i have tried toggling backwards and forwards between F and C in the iphone weather app but my watch stays resolutely on Farenheit. It used to read celsius, this has happened since I replaced my phone and thus reset my Watch but also upgraded to iOS9.0.2 on the same day so could have been that. Any other ideas?

If changing the option to Celsius in the Weather app on your iPhone does not immediately help (including after changing between the options a couple of times), try restarting your Apple Watch: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off; then press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Thanks - restarted the watch and phone but still no joy.

OK I have managed to fix it. Restarting the watch and phone individually did not work - but then I turned off the watch and phone at the same time, then restarted the phone and then the watch, which I guess forced the watch to pull new data from the phone - and that worked!
