MainStage doesn't forward MIDI notes via MIDI Thru

Hi Community,

I am using Mainstage 3.2.1 with an external USB Audiodevice (M-Audio FastTrack Pro) on Mac OS Yosemite 10.10.5.

To control my external instruments I use an Behringer FCB 1010 MIDI Controller.

When I press a button MainStage receives a CC message AND a midi-note. I can see this in the status window of MainStage and in an application called

MIDI Monitor.

What I would like to achieve is, that MainStage forwards the midi-note to the MIDI-Out of M-Audio FastTrackPro.

When I monitor the MIDI-Out of the M-Audio FastTrack I don't see the MIDI note.

As explained the help file, MainStage should send all Notes to the MIDI OUT, if there is no Screen Control:

MainStage 3: How MainStage passes through MIDI messagesUser uploaded file

As you can see I did not configured any controllers which are capable of processing a MIDI note.

MainStage should forward the MIDI notes to the MIDI out. But it doesn't. Why?

Thanks for your help

Martin

Hi

If you want incoming MIDI to be routed back out again, you will need to make an External Instrument channel
