Q: How can I get my Mac to reboot after installing El Capitan?

I could not get El Capitan system to reboot. I shut down my computer and started it only to find I can no longer get it to reboot. I type in my password and I get a message that starts with "panic." It does not stay on the screen long enough to read it. I have a Mac laptop. I have tried rebooting using the shift key, but that has not worked.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

After reviewing your post, it sounds like the computer is not booting. It will panic and then suddenly shut down. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

I found a easy solution through apple support
After reinstalling again El Capitan
Turn off computer then restart in Recovery mode by after pushing turn on hold command and R keys.
Then, reinstall El Capitan OS X once again.
Then, when you have access to your computer

1. Go to apple logo then preferences
2. Users & groups
3. Login items
4. Erase anything within this box
Celebrate you'll never have this problem ever again
