Mail problems Yosemite 10.10.5 Mail locks up without fully opening

When I click on the mail icon my mail pops up I can see the mail, but it freezes and I cannot open it. This started after I downloaded Yosemite 10.10.5

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Try running the combo update.
